Supervision
Mesa Verde Counseling offers supervision approved by the Arizona Board of Mental Health Examiners and New Mexico Counseling and Therapy Practice Board.
Supervision
Clinical supervision supports non-independent mental health professionals by offering expertise, professional oversight, and valuable support from a more experienced provider. To become licensed to practice, all mental health providers must complete a minimum number of therapy hours under clinical supervision.
Clinical supervision is a mutual endeavor enhanced by a trusting bi-directional relationship that leads to professional development and enhanced client care through mentoring, guidance and clinical oversight. Supervision is a process of conceptualized growth and, when effective, it involves much more than monitoring a counselor’s work.

Clinical supervision is a vital process for professionals who work with people, such as counselors, psychotherapists, and mental health workers. Clinical supervision provides a structured and supportive space for practitioners to reflect on their work, learn from their experiences, and enhance their skills and competence. Clinical supervision also ensures that the quality of service and care provided to clients or patients is maintained and improved.
